Marina Kalis graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in English literature. Marina was trained through Balanced Body by Katrina Foe and Kellee Stooks. Through her Pilates career, she has instructed in Phoenix, Naples (Florida), and now in Dallas. She has been trained on all Pilates apparatuses and teaches both private lessons as well as group sessions.
Marina believes that Pilates allows both student and teacher to find an equilibrium in their lives centered on a healthy approach to bodies and minds. She has developed a special interest in the role of the body’s facia in promoting a student’s physical well-being. Acting on that interest, Marina became fully trained in The MELT Method by its New York-based creator, Sue Hitzmann, who also has co-founded the Fascia Research Society. The MELT Method helps people to get out and stay out of chronic pain. Marina enjoys developing bespoke programs for her students that integrate principles drawn from both Pilates and The Melt Method.
Marina is known for her strong communication skills and her devotion to her students’ precise movements.
